As in all of Maya’s paintings the viewer is immediately connected to a myriad of colours, forms and shapes and so begins a journey of discovery. I am the proud owner of a piece by Maya titled VISION and my discovery excitingly continues daily. The whole of creation and that which we do not see is symbolised and presents itself as infinite possibilities if one dares to have a vision. The eternal energy from the Sun, Moon and Stars, the beautiful mosaic like colours all entered my heart at the moment when I first viewed Vision. Every day each special part of creation dances for my eyes and perhaps eternity is there for me in that moment.
The rainbow serpent is Maya’s signature in many of her pieces and for me symbolises inner strength and outer endurance. The detail and purity of every brush stroke reveals a very unique perhaps peerless style.

The inspiration for HOME originated via my dreams. With Maya’s help and skills the internal contents have been made manifest.
This painting is the best gift that I have ever given to myself. Now, whenever I please, I am able to look at or meditate upon its contents, thereby joining together my inner and outer vision.
HOME reflects upon the path to my spiritual journey. I love the glorious colours used along with the intensity and awakefulness.
One day my children will hopefully get a glimpse of ‘me in my unfolding as a soul’ and trust they see its beauty and joyfulness as I do.

I have purchased a number of original artworks from Maya.
When I first saw Maya’s work, I was mesmerized by the complexity and yet from a distance, the simplicity as well as the incredible beauty of her paintings. Not only are Maya’s works of art visually stimulating, they emit an energy of peace and love that can be felt in the heart.
Everyone that visits my house comments and praises the painting called GATEWAY, which I have hanging in the main part of my house. It hangs on right angles to a large mirror, which then allows us to see the painting from many different angles. It gives the illusion of many GATEWAYs… Everyone stands and gazes at the painting for many minutes before coming in to see me!
I am always interested and waiting to see Maya’s next incredible work of art. She is an extremely talented woman who, I am sure, will be doing amazing artworks in the future. The world is a better place for people like Maya.
I will certainly be one who will be standing in line to buy another one in the future, as well as recommending her pieces to others.

I (Maya) have been fortunate enough to be invited by Sir Eric Neal (Governor of SA 2001) to exhibit my work ‘The Dream’ at Government House from July 2000 to January 2001. Upon the Governor’s request, The Dream was placed on an easel in the main boardroom where Sir Eric Neal conducted his meetings. In response to the Governor’s support and kindness, I wrote Sir Eric Neal a letter of gratitude and offered, as a gift, a limited edition print of ‘The Awakening’. Sir Eric Neal wrote a letter back, saying:
"Dear Maya, I wish to thank you for your generous gift of a limited print edition of your work ‘The Awakening’.
I am very pleased to be able to afford the opportunity for local artists to display their works at Government House for a limited period. The many people who come to Government House display great interest in the art works.
I wish you all the best for your future creative endeavours."

I took a look at the painting, and knew I should have a print. (Then I read what you said about it and doubly knew.) I just sent my paypal order. You'll see a similar message there, but I just wanted to respond this way as well.

What I love about your beautiful painting (The Awakening) is the harmonious colour combination of the two middle sections and the fine details of the fish and other sea creatures. The snake is exquisite, so much meaning and depth in it. The animals and the dot patterns... And the Aboriginal symbols around it. You must have some Aboriginal blood in you! Otherwise you could not do such a painting.
We only once bought a painting from somebody else because I have some of my own pictures hanging on the walls, just the ones I did in courses like silk painting, mandalas or acrylic. I did not know that you were a great artist, it is absolutely divine!

I studied aboriginal art at uni and you really have handled the technique well (The Dream),
there is great passion and attention to detail evident and like some great
Indigenous art of this style there is a movement that comes out when you look at
the dotting and great symbolic work. Do you think the vision came from a
previous life? beautiful Work.

Maya that is just so beautiful. I find Mandalas compelling and meditative too. I also love celtic knotwork which has the same effect on me and I believe were used for spiritual contemplation centuries ago. I love the colours and technique.
